We started Verdant because skincare had become long on promises and short on proof. Everything we make is built from botanical actives, formulated at concentrations that work, and tested until we're certain — so the only thing left to do is feel the difference.
Why we exist
Born from a simple frustration.
Our founder spent a decade formulating for some of the biggest names in beauty — and grew tired of watching gorgeous bottles ship with watered-down actives, padded out with fillers and marketing. Too many products over-promised on the front of the box and under-delivered on the skin.
So she set out to do the opposite: take the botanical ingredients with real, published evidence behind them, and put them in at the strength that actually performs. No theatre, no fairy dust — just clinically meaningful formulas you can trust, made by a chemist who reads the studies before she reads the trend reports.

How we formulate
First, we source botanical actives we can verify — sea buckthorn, bakuchiol, squalane, niacinamide — choosing suppliers who can prove purity, potency and traceability from field to flask.
Then we formulate them at effective concentrations. If the research says a result needs five percent, that's what goes in — never a token sprinkle just so it can appear on the label.
Finally, every formula is third-party tested and dermatologist-reviewed for both performance and tolerance, including on sensitive skin, before it's ever allowed near yours.

Sustainability isn't an add-on we bolted on later — it shapes the product from the first sketch. Our bottles are refillable glass, designed to be kept and topped up rather than tossed, cutting packaging waste by up to 70%.
What outer packaging we do use is recyclable and plastic-free, and every order ships carbon-neutral through verified offsets. We also give 1% of revenue to reforestation partners, putting trees back into the landscapes our botanicals come from.
